Welcome!
I’m Hannah — a writer, actor, director, and photographer. I’m also a mother to the most magical girl. I love to cook, to be in nature, and to travel with my family as much as I can. These days, what I’m really striving for is to curate a life of beauty out of the ordinary.
What ties all my creative work together is a love of storytelling. Whether I’m in front of or behind the camera, writing a script or an essay — that’s the thread. Storytelling is the form, the fuel, the thing I return to again and again.
This newsletter is called Permission Slip. The name is a reference to those school-day slips that gave you a moment of freedom. That’s what I hope this space offers: freedom. Permission.
You can expect one letter a month, shaped like a journal entry or an essay — personal and reflective. I write about creativity, motherhood, identity, beauty, money, longing, and becoming. It’s a little of everything. What I’m learning and living as I go.
And I love that the initials are P.S.
Postscript.
Like an afterthought from the corners of my mind — from me to you.
It’s free to subscribe, but for those who want to support the work and receive the occasional bonus post, there’s also a paid option:
$5/month (the cost of a coffee)
$50/year (discounted)
$100/year (for Founding Members who want to support the growth of this space)
Thanks for being here!
With love,
Hannah
